There are days when the world feels too large, too busy, and too loud. There are days when our steps falter and our glow dims. On those days, we may not need a grand spell or a complex ritual. We may simply need a charm.
Not the kind tucked in velvet pouches or sewn into sleeves, even though those are very powerful and have their place indeed. I don’t mean those right now. I do, however, mean the kind that are spoken gently to our spirit, written in the margins of our day, or lit like a candle in our mind.
This is a charm for one of those types of days:
You can whisper the following charm whilst stirring your tea or coffee, trace it into the steam of your bath, or write it on a piece of parchment and place it beneath your pillow with a bit of lavender tucked beside it. You might even want to add a few rose petals. This is a charm written not only in ink – but in grace as well.
This Charm is for you:
Today I need not run or hurry. Today I need not glow as brightly, if I don’t feel like it. Today I need only be…softly, slowly, wholly myself. I am not behind. I am not broken, but yes, I am a work in progress, and yes, I AM BECOMING.
Let this delightful tea warm my spirit. Let this deep cleansing breath ground me. Let the smallest act of care be magick enough, for I am allowed to pause, and I now ALLOW myself to do just that! I’m not gonna get in trouble, because I’m the boss of me! I allow myself to begin again. I allow myself to come home to me, with all of my lovely faults and flaws, my silliness, and my snorting laughter when I’m tickled purple with joy. I clumsily dance with happiness in my soul, I twirl as best I can, and giggle with laughter as I sometimes trip over my own feet. I notice that my wonderfully curvacious XXL body feels light and magickal when I dance around with my little furry familiar in the livingroom. I notice the little sparkles that whoosh from plant to plant as my happiness grows and glows.
May you carry this with you through the days ahead, tucked behind your heart like a pressed flower.
Stay Safe, Stay Curious.
Blessed be,
