The next important event in the Pagan/Witching world is Beltane or May Day.

We Witches, Pagans, and Wiccans call The Wheel Of The Year, a visual representation of the four seasons that most of us experience in our lives. The wheel is made up of Quarter Days (Solar Celebrations), and Cross Quarter Days (Fire Festivals) & include eight major festivals, or what I tend to call, “Pagan Holidays.”

Equinoxes are when day and night are equal.

Solistices are the shortest and the longest days in the year.

Quarter Days (Solar), or the Lesser Sabbats (include both Solstices & Equinoxes)

Winter Solstice aka Hibernal Solstice aka Yule – 21st through 23rd December (the shortest day of the year) Northern Hemisphere (circa 22 June Southern Hemisphere).

Spring Equinox aka Vernal Equinox aka Ostara – 20th through 23rd March in the Northern Hemisphere (circa 22nd September Southern Hemisphere).

Summer Solstice aka Estival Solstice aka Mid Summer aka -Litha 21st June through 23 June (the longest day of the year) Northern Hemisphere (circa 21st December Southern Hemisphere).

Autumn Equinox aka Autumnal Equinox aka Mabon 21st September through 23rd September Northern Hemisphere (circa 21st March Southern Hemisphere).
